Worship, or liturgy, is literally 'the work of the people', and it ties all of our lives together. Our worship is centered on the Holy Eucharist and is ordered according to the Book of Common Prayer. Gathered around the table, we come to know the depth of hospitality and love of God for us. Forgiven and renewed, we go into the world and share the gifts we have received.

Children are always welcome at all of our services and are active participants at our 10:30 service, where they may serve as acolytes, lectors, and ushers. We also offer children's chapel for age-appropriate worship for everyone, and a nursery for those who wish to use it.

Our worship is determined by the liturgical calendar which includes the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, and the season after Pentecost. We have baptisms, confirmations, weddings, memorials and funerals at St. John’s. Our services follow the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. Each Sunday we celebrate Holy Eucharist, beginning with the liturgy of the word in which the Bible is read, a sermon presented, prayers of the people offered, and our sins confessed. The liturgy of the table follows, which brings us into communion with Christ and each other. Through the year, we have special services including the St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals, All Saint's Sunday, Lessons and Carols, Rogation Sunday and more. We welcome you to worship with us, and hope that we can answer any questions you may have about our worship.
