Ministries at St. John's
Outreach
Outreach is a very important component of our Christian faith, and it is
especially so in a downtown neighborhood. St. John's provides a monthly community dinner for more than
250 people, many of whom are homeless, as well as a
weekly bag lunch
on Saturdays. The church is also open in the very cold and very hot months for
emergency shelter for those who have no way of escaping the extreme
weather. St. John's also partners with Episcopal Social Services (ESS),
Inter-faith Ministries, and other organizations dedicated to serving
others in downtown Wichita and beyond, and we are involved in many
different service projects and ministries designed to serve
individuals in need.
