Ministries at St. John's
Leadership
There are many opportunities for members of St. John's to provide leadership
in the community. The vestry is the lay
body, elected to three-year terms, which elects the rector and
oversees the temporal business of the church; the
finance committee, personnel committee, outreach committee, members
committee, and
scholarship committee, stewarship committee, worship design team,
and arts, architecture, history and construction committee, all
appointed by the vestry and the rector, each oversee the proceedings
in their designated area. Prayer circle and
prayer team, led by the
rector, actively keep all
parishioners, especially those in special
need, in prayer, and the
choir leads the congregation in song.
