Ministries at St. John's
Formation
Christian discipleship is a lifetime activity. At St. John's, we are committed to Christian formation for all ages.
Our
church school includes a curriculum written by our parish teachers
that combines age-appropriate lessons which follow our liturgy and
church seasons. Teen ministry
includes opportunities to participate in the liturgy and outreach
ministries; Jr. Daughters of the King and the
Followers of St. Francis combine
fun activities with prayer and service. In addition,
young people at St. John's take part in our many diocesan youth
activities.
Adult formation is also particularly important at St. John's.
Each Sunday at 9:15 we hold lectionary Bible study,
exploring the lessons of the day; and 11:45, we have adult forum, where
church-related topics are discussed over coffee. Bible study runs
year-round on Wednesday evenings at 6:15pm, and Mondays at 11:30am.
Education for Ministry (EFM)
meets on Tuesday evenings. In addition, Inquirer's class introduces
members to the Episcopal faith (or refreshes the foundations for
those who have been Episcopalian).
Daughters of the King deepen their faith through prayer,
worship, and service.
