Christian Formation Class for Sundays, October 2-16, at 9:15 a.m.

Interim Pastor, Fr. Ted Curtis, leads a class for Christian Formation on the Sundays that he serves, from 9:15 to 10:10 a.m.  Stop by the parlor for refreshments, then join us in the library for a short “lecturette” and time for discussion.

October 2nd: The Year of the Gospel of Luke – We are in Lectionary Cycle C in which we hear in Sunday worship Luke’s account of the life and ministry of Jesus. Who was he? What were the points he was getting across? How did he handle the tradition of Jesus handed to him?

October 9th: The Religious Imagination – Let’s get beyond the tired fight that the scriptures should be read either literally or figuratively – a presentation and discussion of the role of the imagination in the life and witness of the Church.

October 16th: The Language of Worship – A look into the words we say when we think of God, address God, worship God.
