About St. John's
St. John's Episcopal Church, the oldest church in Wichita, is a
mid-size, energetic, metropolitan congregation with a strong
tradition and commitment to God's call to serve all in need.
We are a downtown church, and our members come from all
across the city and from the surrounding suburban communities to
worship and serve in the heart of Wichita.
We strive to be welcoming to all who enter here. In the
tradition of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion, we are
deeply committed to gathering a community which is diverse in
thought, background, social perspective and place on our theological
path. We proclaim the risen Christ, and in this, the power of
God's love to transform our lives, whoever and wherever we are.
