DEACON – THE REVEREND ARLAND WALLACE
Deacon Arland Wallace is a long-time member of our parish family. Born in Springfield, MO, he grew up in Wichita, attending a non-denominational church with his parents, and later a Congregational church. During a visit to St. John’s, he fell in love with the beauty of the liturgy and the church. As his faith became more important in his life, he began to consider a life of service to God. His path to the clergy began with two years of discernment, followed by 2 years of study at the Bishop Kemper School of Ministry. An internship year at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Wichita opened his heart, soul and mind to live a life of faith, and to serve God with joy and grace. Deacon Arland was assigned to serve at St. John’s beginning in July 2016.
